The project “Vom Verschwinden“ (On Disappearance) in the public space of the village of Jamlitz addresses the disappearance of village structures in the Lausitz region.

The installation consists of old window frames, most of which were collected in Jamlitz. They come from former residential buildings, bungalows, and barracks from the GDR era, and some also from barracks from the Nazi era that were used to house the organizational staff of the Lieberose-Jamlitz satellite camp of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
These window frames were assembled into a “house of cards. “ The unstable structure appears to be on the verge of collapse.
