KERN (Nucleus)

Installation at the galllery Zwitschermaschine, Berlin, 2015

Tightropes, turnbuckles, aluminum foil, effect spray

The six sides of the square shaped gallery space are put in relation to a six sided polyhedron which seems to be detached from the orthogonal space system and yet stays connected therein.
It is fixed from all directions with tightropes that are diagonally clamped between the walls, ceiling and floor and that are crossing one another at the corner points of the corpus. Thus the object is floating weightlessly in the center- the hierarchy of above and below is abolished.
The haptic, stage-like appearance of the nucleus as an "outer space" fantasy rock is a strong contrast to the abstract wire-lines that are describing ist outlines being drawing and construction at the same time.
